  • Dave

    Hey, I’m Dave! Owner and Program Director of Summit Fitness. With over 15 years of training experience and a strong passion for sports science, I apply my education in Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, and Sports Nutrition to every session. I thrive on the challenge of programming for such a diverse clientele, and take pride in designing workouts that focus on progression while keeping things fun!

    Outside of training, I am an avid kickboxer, so bring your hand wraps if you ever want a lesson on the heavy bag. My other passions include hiking, movies and a multitude of sports. So don’t hesitate to bring up the latest mountain you summited, obscure film references or your fave sports team! I believe fitness is one of many important aspects of overall well-being. Through mentorship and motivation, I aim to inspire our members to carry the strength and resilience they build in the gym into every aspect of their lives.

    My fitness journey began in my early 20s when I discovered a passion for health and well-being. Inspired by my experiences with obstacle course racing and half marathons, I became an ACE-certified personal trainer, also certified in CPR and first aid. For over a decade, I have been helping clients transform their lives through fitness.

    With certifications in corrective exercise, hypertrophy training, and special populations, I offer a well-rounded approach tailored to clients of all fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. My goal is not only to help clients achieve their fitness goals but also to ensure they feel supported, motivated, and empowered every step of the way.

    Hey, I’m Jake! I completed my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria in 2023. Throughout my life, I’ve enjoyed a wide range of physical activities and coached/instructed sports ranging from basketball to paddleboarding, providing a holistic approach to health and fitness. During my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, reading, and exploring the great outdoors.

    Hey, I'm Jarryd! Kinesiologist, Strength & Conditioning Coach (BSKin, BCAK, CSCS). 

    My passion for fitness stems from a young age growing up in rural Alberta, where I played every sport I could. With 6+ years in personal training, I’m all about helping clients grow and crush their goals! Outside the gym? You'll find me biking, climbing, snowboarding, or fishing.

  • Selena

    Hey Team! My name is Selena, I am a Certified Athletic therapist, Red Cross Certified first responder and have my Level 1 PN nutrition Coaching certificate. I Have been working in the field for the past 5 years with various local sports teams including Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Rugby and most recently started working at Summit Fitness! 

    When I’m not at the gym or working with my teams you can find me outdoors playing sports, at the beach or hiking with my dog Carter! 

    I have self designated myself as the gym hype woman and will make sure you feel encouraged, safe and supported throughout your fitness journey!

    I am born and raised in Victoria and I have recently obtained a Bachelor’s in Athletic and Exercise Therapy from Camosun College. I currently work as the Athletic Therapist for the Victoria Grizzlies. Some past experience as a student has allowed me to work with a variety of athletes including Rugby Canada Men’s 7s, the Victoria Royals and Westshore Rebels. 

    I have always had a passion for all sports and being outdoors. Growing up I primarily focused on playing hockey and baseball, but now you can find me playing golf, basketball, and Spikeball or going on a hike with my dog Sadie!
